Meet Judge Jaime Hawk

As a judge and attorney, I have dedicated my career to ensuring everyone is heard, respected, and treated fairly in our legal system. From serving youth as a public defender in central Washington, to defending individuals against the full power of the federal government as a federal defender in eastern Washington, to leading statewide advocacy efforts as an attorney for the ACLU of Washington, I have spent my career protecting constitutional rights, civil liberties, and equal justice, and working to ensure our legal system serves everyone — not just the powerful.

Today, I serve on the King County Superior Court, where I preside over criminal, civil, and family law cases with fairness, independence, and respect for every person who enters the courtroom. I also serve on the Washington Supreme Court’s Minority and Justice Commission, helping strengthen public trust in our courts and expand access to justice.

I’m running for the Washington Supreme Court because, at a time when fundamental rights and judicial independence are under attack, our highest court needs judges committed to protecting the rule of law and the rights and freedoms of every Washingtonian.

I’m proud to have served communities on both sides of the Cascades, and I will bring that experience, independence, and commitment to equal justice to the Washington Supreme Court.
